New Home, Old Soul

Nestled in acres of pasture, this farmhouse is a newer construction in Old World Craftsman style--a symbol of a more tranquil and bucolic era. A project like this one required the close partnership of the architect, a skilled contractor and the interior designer to create an authentic and historic feel in a twenty-first century home. The sprawling property includes a main house and large, open barn. Each room is completely unique, featuring one-of-a kind elements like layered moulding, shiplap and a board and batten ceiling. Sturdy cabinetry and fixtures are softened and accented with nooks for reading and contemplation, infusing comfort into every room. Impressive elements like the reclaimed hardwood floors are paired with rich design features like a touch of  marble mosaic tile. Amid time-honored patterns like rich florals and embroidered linens emerges a whimsical infusion of complementary European block prints. The result is a beautiful and comfortable custom living space for families and guests.
